A little about Amy

We fondly call her Princess Boss, Bossy or her personal favorite…Queen of Pivot tables (she’s a data nerd) but honestly…she is also super-down-to-earth, lots of fun and really cares about her team and clients. So here’s the professional scoop: As the founder of Hanson Consulting Group, Amy has over 20 years of finance, IT, business operations and management experience. Prior to starting Hanson Consulting in 2009, Amy worked a large part of her career at Microsoft in various management positions in Finance IT, Corporate Accounting, Royalty Operations and Global Outsourcing. During Amy’s tenure at Microsoft, she successfully led technical and business teams to design and develop reporting processes and systems. In addition, Amy has in-depth experience with gaming and software royalties, contract agreements and patent agreements. Prior to Microsoft, Amy was the controller for Fonte Coffee where she managed the financial operations for this multi-state corporation.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, two amazing children, and their black lab, Finley.

A little about Ameris

Ameris joined Hanson Consulting in August 2014, with 20 years of finance, marketing and business strategy experience. Prior to HCG she spent time in the technology, online media and medical device industries, where she worked with companies ranging from startups to Fortune 100. Ameris started out in the medical device industry and managed all finance and accounting operations for a custom orthopedics startup, moving on to support the Sales team at Medtronic Vascular. After relocating from the Bay Area to Seattle, Ameris spent time in the Corporate Planning and OEM teams at Microsoft before transitioning to sales and marketing roles. This included time at Google where Ameris was a data and market research guru. There she developed quarterly business reviews and strategy sessions for Enterprise level retailers throughout the Pacific Northwest. She then made the leap to consulting, taking a position at a boutique marketing and consulting firm where she managed online marketing and internal operations. We were introduced to her via several project management jobs, and knew we wanted her for ourselves.

When she's off the clock, Ameris is busy having fun with her husband and three children. She loves to eat and cook so it’s a good thing she’s a CrossFit junkie.

A little about Taryn

Taryn joined Hanson Consulting in September 2016. She comes to us with a background in communications and a Master’s degree in Business Administration along with experience in the e-commerce industry. Previously working for a subsidiary of home improvement industry giant Lowe’s Companies, Inc. she was a go-to player within the organization, taking on ever evolving roles to meet the business needs. Taryn’s areas of expertise include marketing, public relations, process and building teams. Basically we love her because she can take on any challenge with a huge smile and a solid dose of grit!

Away from work, Taryn enjoys travelling with her husband and being a mom to their two fur-babies.

A little about Wendy

Wendy joined Hanson Consulting Group in January, 2017, to support the day-to-day operations of the business as Office Manager. We were overjoyed to discover that she’s our very own Mary Poppins! With an extensive background in executive management support to accompany her sparkly smile and British ways, she effortlessly attends to the work at hand, leaving a trail of happiness in her wake. Prior to working at HCG, she spent five years at JP Morgan Chase in Bellevue and Jack in the Box in San Diego, supporting the Franchise Director Team and multiple franchisees. She thoroughly enjoys working with our internal team and visiting our team members and clients on site to deliver birthday treats and daily doses of cheer.

Away from the office, Wendy loves spending time with her family, particularly teaching her twin daughters to bake, working on her pea patch and hosting regular knitting nights out with her friends, which are sometimes fueled by coffee or the occasional a glass of wine.

A little about Andrea

Andrea came to us by way of her accounting services in 2012. Her love for Quickbooks was discovered when she volunteered to be treasurer for her church, getting her on her accounting career path. After wrestling our books for a couple of years, she and Amy became fast friends and officially joined our team in 2014, as Accounting Manager. Prior to working at HCG, Andrea spent six years in the Bay area working in operations for a credit card company. Throughout her time with us, Andrea has juggled multiple volunteer positions at her twin sons’ high school including: Treasurer of the PTSA, Vice President of Clubs for Boosters, Parent Representative for Robotics and Assistant Treasurer for Skyline Lacrosse. Books, activities, family, career – this lady can balance it all!

In her spare time, Andrea loves to travel (with one of her sons studying at Texas A&M, she’s enjoying exploring the South), is a master of entertaining and enjoys spending time with her family. One of her favorite hobbies is creating scrapbooks of her family’s big trips with Shutterfly and she’s also known for making the best White Elephant Gifts.

A little about Finley

Finley Hanson joined Hanson Consulting Group in fall of 2016 after Amy and her husband Pete became empty nesters. As Director of Happiness, Finley has been spreading happiness and chaos around the office ever since. Her role is to run around the office giving love and attention (wanted or unwanted) to anyone she sees. She also enjoys going on lunch dates to Burgermaster and long walks to Starbucks.

Outside of work, Finley enjoys spending time at home taking bubble baths, stealing socks and hanging out on top of her dog house (she idolizes Snoopy and loves a good view).
